Yes, yes, they did. Smart home lighting brand Govee’s sub-brand for home appliances, Govee Life, is introducing a countertop Smart Nugget Ice Maker Pro, for fashionable party hosts who like to have the trendyice on hand for better cocktails.
The ice maker can produce ice in six minutes and can make up to 60 pounds of ice per day. (The included bucket holds up to 3.5 lb.) But this ice maker has an AI feature too — it’s using the technology to make the device less noisy. The AI has been trained to identify freeze-ups, common to nugget ice makers, which can cause unwanted sounds. When detected, it automatically starts defrosting to keep the ice flowing quietly.
