Circuit City and CompUSA now have another partner to sing the retail blues with ’em. Office Depot has announced plans to close 112 stores, or 9% of their North American retail spots over the next three months. Specifics haven’t been announced, but we do know “45 stores in the Central U.S., 40 in the Northeast and Canada, 19 in the West and eight in the South” will be closing. Oh, and 13 distribution facilities will be closing-up shop, too. Okay, who’s next? Office Max? Micro Center? Best Buy?
