Stripe x Startup Battlefield
TechCrunch is joining forces with Stripe to spotlight Australia’s most ambitious startups. Together, we will select 10 finalists to pitch live in a Startup Battlefield-style competition at Stripe Tour Sydney 2026 for the chance to win $10,000 in Stripe fee credits. The winner will also be automatically admitted to Startup Battlefield 200 at TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco in October 2026

TechCrunch Startup Battlefield is coming to Australia — and we’re partnering with Stripe to find the country’s most exciting early-stage startups. We’re particularly excited about AI, SaaS, fintech, and consumer tech startups with a commercial product in market, though we’re open to most tech verticals. If you’re a pre-seed to Series A Australian startup with a scalable, revenue-generating business model, we want to hear from you. Winners take home up to $10,000 USD in Stripe fee credits.

Why Founders Should Apply?
Startup Battlefield is TechCrunch’s central pipeline for identifying and elevating early-stage startups. While selection does not guarantee editorial coverage, it places companies in front of our editorial team and creates multiple opportunities for visibility around Disrupt and beyond. The most compelling companies will present in front of thousands at Disrupt.
As part of the Startup Battlefield process, you get to participate in everything from pitch training to masterclass sessions with top operators and VCs, and you become a part of an alumni community of thousands whose expertise is limitless.
Applying is as easy as clicking this link and confirming that you want to throw your hat into the ring and potentially join an illustrious list of alumni that includes Cloudflare, Dropbox, Discord, Fitbit, and more.
Here is a detailed list of tips and recommendations for what to include in your application and potential pitch.
The Stripe x Startup Battlefield winner will also secure a place in the highly competitive Start Up Battlefield 200, with potential eligibility to present at TechCrunch Disrupt, held in San Francisco, CA in October 2026.
